    Tradition

    The Sigma Rho Zeta Chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha was founded in 1976. We are the longest standing IFC organization at UMKC.

     

    Scholarship

    Currently we hold the #2 GPA among all fraternities at UMKC. For new members, our chapter is offering 5, $200 scholarships to outstanding new UMKC students for the upcoming fall semester. We also reward initiated members who achieve a GPA of 3.75 or higher with an automatic $50 discount off their dues each semester. Active members are also eligible for a couple other scholarships at the chapter level including the Scott Thompson Award ($500) and the Eagle Award for Academic Excellence ($400). 

     

    Respect

    First national fraternity to ban hazing and create an associate member program that includes equal rights and opportunities from day one

     

    Compassion

    Largest philanthropy event in the Greek world. The North American Food Drive raises over one million pounds of food each year for the needy.

     

    Leadership

    Members are involved in many other organizations on campus, currently holding leadership roles in several of them.

     

    Future

    Employers rate greek life as 1 of the top 5 leadership roles a student can have while in college. We also have a large alumni database that can be useful in landing an internship or even a career upon graduation.
